Deda was hit by a dum dum bullet that shattered both bones in his fore arm and he said that when the Italians realized he was shot they rushed him and took him back.I know he said the sides were very close.He was POW in Genoa I believe and treated well.Problem!At what point of the war was this and where?Somewhere I read about the Austrians being 50 meters apart.Medals.....My father said that Deda refused his medals???True?Photo's....we have none,but in picture of them on Mellete,centre right holding stick with mustache sure looks like him,also photo of two snipers the one sitting down looks a lot like him!
If any one could point me in the right direction I would be very grateful.
If i can think of something else I will write.
